South Valley Endurance began in the Spring of 2009 when a group of friends, each with different
passions for endurance sports decided it would be nice to promote an endurance lifestyle in the South
Valley and Bay Area. Disiplines would include Road Cycling, Running, Triathlons, and Duathlons. Our
primary goal is to engage people in a healthy and active life style. Combining group activities like
group rides and runs along with races will not only keep you motivated to be fit in the short term,
we hope it will become a way of life.
The South Valley is the perfect place for both cycling and running. Some of the best running and
mountain biking trails are located in Henry Coe State Park, Harvey Bear, Nicene and Wilder state
park. For road biking, any rolling or mountainous set of hills will work great, Uvas, Metcalf, Roop
Road, Almaden Valley, and even Hicks are all great training areas. Of course any of these along with
the Coyote trail system are perfect places to run.
